Each year, 3rd December is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). SUN-Sation aims to be an annual event where we come together to support and encourage PWDs and their caregivers for greater social inclusion.
During SUN-sation, participants can engage in games to simulate what it feels like to have an impairment. SUN-DAC hopes that with the experiential learning, greater social inclusion can be fostered for PWDs by changing public attitudes, empathy and increasing public understanding and confidence in interacting with those with disabilities and special needs.
The activities will also demonstrate how PWDs overcome their disabilities and challenges in their daily lives.
Performances such as magic show and entertainment will also be held at certain time slots. There will also be booth for donations and sales of merchandise for charity.
